Introducing Grayson

Hi everyone! I don't have a card to share today, but I do have a beautiful creation to share. This one is one of God's most precious creations! 

Grayson was born Wednesday, May 15. He weighed 7 pounds and 10 ounces, and he was 19 inches long.

We are both doing great, and our family is filled with love for this precious baby!

Jot This Down - Skinny Notepads

Hi there! Happy Sunday, and Happy Mother's Day to all of you mothers out there! Since I shared my Mother's Day cards already, today I am sharing a few notepads I made to put in with the gifts I gave for Mother's Day. Who doesn't love cute notepads? I know I definitely do...notepads, pens...I think I collect them. It must be a teacher thing. 

I used this Skinny Notepad Tutorial from Kim O'Connell at Paper Perfect Designs. Thanks, Kim, for this great tutorial! I had everything on hand to make these and with her simple directions, I was able to make these in just a few minutes. 

To make these notepads, you will need some Skinny Notepads from Papertrey Ink. You can purchase them in white or cream. I also used the Take Note stamp set from Papertrey Ink. I decorated my notepads by using some patterned paper and ribbon. I even did a little stitching around the edges and accented the circle panels with a pearl pen. I love how these turned out, and as simple as they are, I will definitely make them again when I need a little gift.

Happy Mother's Day!

Hi there! I'm sharing another Mother's Day card today. This one is for my mother-in-law. 

I used my Crate Paper Random papers. I just LOVE these papers! For my stamp set, I used the Vanity License Plate stamp set and die-namics from MFT Stamps. I have had this set for awhile, but this was my first time to ink it up. That's a shame, huh? I also recently purchased a few of the MFT ink pads, so I tried out the Razzle Berry ink on this card...love it! It has really great coverage on clear stamps! Now that I look at this, I wish I had stamped a heart on each side of the "mom." Oh well...hindsight! I embossed my card background with the Polka Dots embossing folder and finished it off with some seam binding ribbon and a few rhinestones.

Mom of the Year

Hi there! I have a Mother's Day card to share today that I made for my mama.

She really does deserve the Mom of the Year award this year! She has gone with me to countless numbers of doctor's appointments and sat with me through all of that. She's put up with my whining and has been a big help as I have been preparing to have my own child. When I saw this sentiment, I knew that it was perfect for her Mother's Day card.

I used the Girly Graphic Tee and die-namics companion on this card. I cut the shirt out of cardstock and stamped the sentiment. My mama loves jewelry like I do, so I added some bling to the tee. My papers are Echo Park Country Drive, and I embossed the green paper. I added a Wonky Scallop border and did lots of stitching. I finished it off with some ribbon and a few stick pins.

It's Your Birthday!

Hi there! I hope y'all had a good weekend! I am going to the doctor today for my 37 week check-up. I'm hoping for a baby soon because I am so uncomfortable!

Today is also my younger brother's birthday, so I whipped up a card for him.

I used Deconstructed Sketch #56 for the layout. I love Jen's sketches. I just recently printed all of her PDF pages of them out and put them in my sketch binder. When I got ready to make this card, I flipped through and found a sketch that worked with my image. 

The stamp I used on my card is one of the a la carte stamps by Taylored Expressions - It's Your Birthday. I love these little word stamps. They make putting together a card so simple! I used some new papers - All About a Boy by Echo Park...love these colors (and that chevron pattern, too!). I colored the image with Copics and used my Clear Glaze pen on the letters as well as some Stickles on the balloons and star. I embossed the background of my card and added some twine and silver brads to finish it off.

CAS-ual Fridays #100 & Mojo Monday

Hey there y'all! 

Is it just me, or is May incredibly busy for anybody else? I am on card-making overload over here! My grandmother's and my mother-in-law's birthdays are both the same week as Mother's Day. I have three Mother's Day cards to make. My brother's birthday is tomorrow, and I had three graduation cards to make. Geez!! This girl needs a break! I feel like I'm finally putting a small dent in my to-do list though. I just have the Mother's Day cards left to do. Oh, and did I mention I'm having a baby this month? LOL! I'm trying to get all of the cards done before this little boy decides to make his appearance. 

I combined a couple of challenges to make the birthday cards for my grandmother and mother-in-law. I decided to use the same papers on both since I already had them out.  I just love how these cards turned out. I want to keep them for myself. :) Does that ever happen to you? 

I played along in the CAS-ual Fridays #100 challenge which was a tic-tac-toe challenge. I had fun with this challenge! To the CFC DT - I realized after I made my cards, that a requirement was for them to be CAS. If you don't feel my cards are CAS, please feel free to remove them. :)  For my first card, I used this tic-tac-toe - polka dots, Kraft, punch/die. The card layout is Mojo Monday #283. I used Dots and Stripes papers by Echo Park. The background is embossed with the Seeing Spots embossing folder, and I did some stitching. The sentiment is from Big Greetings by MFT Stamps, and I added a blingy circle to it. I cut out a flower using the smallest flower in the Mini Royal Roses Die-namics from MFT and added some Royal Leaves that I cut with green felt. I added some hemp cord and more bling to finish my card off. 

For my next card, I used this tic-tac-toe challenge from the CFC100 Challenge - polka dots, square card, birthday. This card follows this week's Mojo Monday #291. LOVE this sketch! It allowed me to use the fun  Fishtail Flag STAX Die-namics from MFT Stamps. I used the Dots and Stripes papers by Echo Park again. The background was embossed with the Cuttlebug Polka Dots embossing folder, and I did a little stitching. My sentiment is from Big Greetings by MFT Stamps, and I added a blingy circle. I finished my card off with a bow.

Hi there! I'm popping in with my second post for the day. I have posts scheduled over the next few days, and I needed to get this one in before the challenge deadline. :)

I needed another graduation card, so I created this one today using Tuesday Morning Sketches #196 as my layout. The image is from ConGRADulations by There She Goes, and the papers are Sweet Girl by Echo Park. I did some stitching and added a ribbon and Liquid Pearls. The sentiment was added on a little flag to finish my card off.
